On the surface, you may think Baldi Basic has something to do with a bald man. While one of the main characters is an odd-looking bald man, it has nothing to do with the fact that he unfortunately has no hair to speak of.
In this game, you control the player character who is welcomed into a school by the bald man we were discussing in the previous paragraph previously. Then you have to collect seven notebooks in a school and once you have done that, then you need to get the heck out of there. Make sure to avoid the bald man while you are attempting to do all of this.
What you may have not figured out by now is that Baldi Basic is a horror game, but not like most of the ones you’ve experienced. There is no straight up jump scares. It’s more the anticipation of what might happen if you don’t collect all the notebooks, avoid Baldi, and then escape the school. It really requires a lot of trial and error, so don’t be surprised if you don’t get it the first time around.
To play Baldi Basic, you use the WASD keys to move and the mouse to look around. If you want to run, all you have to do is hold the shift key down. Want to interact with everything around you and/or collect objects? Well, this requires you to use the left click on the mouse and/or keypad.
This game will have you on the edge of your seat from the moments you start playing. It seems happy on the surface, but you don’t see lingering in the background is where the trouble comes in. Will you be able to avoid the funny looking bald man? Only time will tell.
