Minecraft IO is based on the popular game Minecraft that was developed in 2009 by Markus Notch Persson. This game is called a sandbox video game where there really isn’t an established goal, per se. The player has a lot of choice in how they want to play the game, which can be played in the first or third person depending on what you prefer. Despite this being a sandbox game, there is a general plot—as loose as it is.

Players are deposited into this 3D world and have to build/craft items, tools, machines, and structures. They do this by mining and searching the area around them for materials. The game can also be changed with many different mods. This shouldn’t be a surprise given that the player has a lot of freedom in how they can play Minecraft. The possibilities really are endless so if you start to get bored, you can change it up to add a little of excitement.

In Minecraft IO, you have a reimagining of the classic game. The premise is the same, just with some better graphics available for you to see. You can play online with friends or strangers, or even by yourself but the joy in Minecraft was always playing with other people and seeing what you can do.

Don’t worry about your progress never being saved. Even if you click out of the browser, it’ll remain there. This is always a fear and frustration gamers have faced at least once or twice during their lifetime of playing games.

To play Minecraft IO, you only need a mouse and keyboard. If you’ve played the original Minecraft before on your computer, then you won’t have any trouble figuring out how to play. However, don’t worry if you haven’t played before. It’s easy to figure out.
